The Commercial Collection Corp. of New York, Inc. also known as CCC of NY, was founded in 1962 by Bernie Engel. Bernie and his wife Estelle, operated the company out of their garage using their washer and dryer as a desk and filing cabinet. From those humble beginnings, CCC of NY steadily grew over the next 37 years with the guarantees of: personalized service, exceptional recovery and a commitment to treat each client as family.
In 1999, Bernie retired and Bob Ingold became only the second CEO in the history of CCC of NY. CCC Ontario clients have the option to assign accounts for Immediate Action or to request we start with a free, 10 or 20 day demand letter. Account placed into Immediate Action will be assigned for immediate collection activity. When accounts are placed into free demand, CCC Ontario will send a letter on your behalf instructing your delinquent customer to make payment in full within 10 or 20 days (guided by your direction). If you notify us the customer has paid within the demand period, the account is closed at no charge. If the debtor does not pay within the demand period, the account will automatically roll into third-party collection at your default contingency rate and your dedicated collection manager will begin immediate collection on that file
“What backup information does CCC Ontario
need to place an account?”
In most cases a statement including the total amount you are placing as well as the delinquent customers contact information (including phone number), is sufficient to place a claim. Additional documentation which is helpful towards to a successful outcome include: Invoices, Credit Application, Personal Guarantee (where applicable) and notes or a summary of internal collection efforts before placement.
CCC Ontario offers competitive, performance based contingency rates for all standard (in-house) collection work. Because we bill our fee based on recovery, the return on your investment is easy to understand.
More importantly, you are assured that our team is highly motivated to not only collect but to liquidate your balances in full. Please note, rates differ for accounts escalated to an attorney as well as international collection (outside of Canada and the United States).
Pro Tip: Ask your Client Relationship Manager for information on discounted rates based on collectability (age of accounts, balance, debtor still in business, skipped, etc.).
As an alternative to our standard third-party contingent collection services, CCC Ontario offers a Small Balance Service (SBS) for accounts up to $750 as well as consumer accounts with a flat fee per account. This option may also be available for larger accounts as a pre-cursor to third-party contingent collection services.

Here are some compelling reasons to consider CCC Ontario as your outsourcing partner:
The old adage, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”, is extremely relevant in the world of credit and collections. Understanding who to extend credit to and what limits to set has become more complex than ever before. Credit grantors must take a comprehensive look at not only the credit worthiness of their customers but at how supply chain disruption may affect their customers.
Consequently, companies are using credit reports at unprecedented levels today to make informed decisions. CCC Ontario offers Equifax Credit Reporting options that are scalable with incentive based pricing.
Additionally, CCC Ontario offers United States and International Credit Reports to clients with business interests outside of Canada.
CCC Ontario leverages the substantial volume of reports our clients order from Equifax to negotiate rates that are often far lower than most companies qualify for working directly with Equifax. Additionally, for clients who prefer limited vendors, CCC Ontario manages the relationship with the credit reporting companies so our clients can enjoy a singular vendor contact for multiple services.
CCC of NY is proud of the memberships and business partnerships we have entered with some of the most highly respected credit, legal and industry trade groups in the country.
